Reblogging again because this picture was actually taken by Risa Sutcliff and she added:
“Yes Iron Man. While they were filming in Wilmington, North Carolina! The building in the back is a hospital that my aunt works at and they were filming there so YAY! …
[Robert Downey Jr.]’s really friendly. He likes to joke about his height cuz he’s not all that tall in person … He’s not stuck up like some people. Like if you ask to take a picture he would and he’ll talk to pretty much anyone. Relatively normal even with all the fans that were around him.”

i’m just gonna leave this here as a reminder that “hitting bottom” doesn’t mean “staying on bottom for the rest of your life and dying as a piece of crap”
I AM CRYING. AND I SAY IT FOR REAL.
As much as I just sit around acting like a typical fangirl in regard to RDJ, the fact of the matter is, I find him truly inspiring and an amazing individual. His story is just, well, unbelievable. It’s a great example of how perseverance, believing in one’s self, and surrounding one’s self with excellent, supportive people can pull you out from your lowest of lows.
