Charles was an archaeologist/historian who stumbled a rare artifact that worth bloody millions, Erik was a treasure hunter (usually prefer metal but Charles’s artifact was connected to his past idk I woke up so my dream never got a proper ending D:) who in need of the artifact with or without Charles consent. And there’s Shaw who is your usual narcissistic/greedy/collector had eyes on the artifact.
The catch:
- Charles found the artifact when he was visiting Raven’s bar in a sorta hidden city.
- Erik was there because he got tracks for the artifact.
- Charles refuse the give Erik the national treasure (this is not Nicholas Cage movie, no.)
- To put it simply, they hate each other guts afterward. Not exactly your love-at-first-sight-cherik. (I dunno D: In my dreams Charles was terrified of Erik but he really doesn’t want the artifact to go to the wrong person aka Shaw. In my dream, Erik does looming over Charles quite a lot and pretty much cornered Charles every time they meet. And Charles being you adorable skittish cat.)
- Shaw heard about it. And knows that Erik wants it too so he sweet talk Erik into teaming up with him to get Charles’s artifact. Most likely to steal it.
My dream ends with Erik cornering Charles and I pretty much forgets a good part of it. If there’s any kind soul who would take this bloody prompt and rape it write it, I shall give you my heart and soul ;______; because I tried went back to sleep but I can’t continue the dream somehow. /le sobs
#This makes me really sad. #Like seriously. #The whole movie was focused on Erik and Raven and Hank and finding peace with themselves. #Being mutant and proud. #It was pretty obvious everyone thought Charles had no idea what they could possibly be feeling. #That everything was much more peachy for him. #No one stops to think about what it’s like hearing everything. Absolutely everything. #And what that could do to a person’s social life and relationships.#Even though he has his own share of problems he still puts his all into helping others. #Probably because that’s the only way he can think to make people like him#and let him in and let him have a feel for what it’s like to not be alone. #Then he finally meets someone he really connects with. Someone he makes a family with.#Then all of that and more gets ripped away just as quickly. #At the end of the movie everyone comes out on top. #Having found something to really live for and feel good about. #Except Charles. #He’s just left with a big lot of nothing. #And I really hope the sequel delves deep into that and shows that he’s just as deserving for a little happiness as everyone else #if not more

In which I defy the staggering odds because I finally finished one of my WIPs. I can’t believe it’s been six months - to the day - that I’ve been writing this. Thank you so very much for the support, cheerleading and occasional ass-kicking. I did think of doing a Xmas/Hanukkah epilogue, but at this point I’m not sure, so we’ll see.

Don’t you think this would suit Charles more. Goes with the blue eyes. And Erik would be black or dark brown, no?
Or maybe I am just referring to a certain fic. Yeap.

#Dear Bryan Singer, I hear you are gonna do X4 and X5, so listen now and listen good. I need you to have X5 end with Magneto regretting everything he has ever done. I need there to be a mutant at his disposal who can bend time. I need Magneto to use said mutant to send him back to a time when he could fix everything. I need Erik to open his eyes and see Charles, young, full of life and there by his side, in this exact scene from First Class. I need Erik to weep from the combined weight of the memory of his mother and this moment in time, unsure as to whether or not Charles already knows that the Erik before him is not the same Erik as a moment ago. And finally, I need Charles to say to Erik, gentle and with complete and utter faith, tears rolling down his face, “Try again.”
